So can anyone explain the logic for Diesel at 60 / 40 rate today.
Cowes (above the chain ferry) £1.47 with discounts at 500 & 1000 litres. Port Hamble (MDL) £1.87.
So for Hamble there is actually a major fuel depot in the Village, yet to get the stuff to the Island a ferry will have to transport the tanker. Or if fuelled by lighter then an extra 8 - 10 miles for the lighter to get to Cowes.
OK I know those who choose to pay the exorbitant MDL berthing fees get a discount, but this is ridiculous and in my view blatant exploitation of a near monopoly for fuel supply on the Hamble.
I know where I will be getting my fuel.
