Hi guys I was wondering what the school of thought is for unleaded fuel tanks over winter..... Full or empty?

I think full so no air gaps for condensation to occur, as long as it's not going to stay in there for too long...

My vote goes for empty, use the old fuel in your lawmower or car. A drop of 2T won't hurt a 4-stroke. I store my o\b in a shed over winter, with some bubble wrap around it. The tanks are plastic anyway and as the air gets colder it gets dryer.
Modern unleaded doesn't work well if left over winter and if you're out now and back in in March, you're looking at 6 months for the fuel to go stale.

Does anyone know what effect two stroke mix has on a car's catalytic converter? My car burns a bit of oil anyway and that doesn't seem to do anything. I have a few gallons of 100:1 mix to get rid of. Should I wait until after the car has had its MOT?

How much would it be to replace the cat and injectors if a problem is caused? Do you consider that cost worth the risk on the off chance that the fuel will "go off"? Personally I would leave the boat in another week and go boating to use up the fuel! you can always take a spare can without the oil in just in case you run out which can then safely be used in the car.
