I have a 1983 Yamaha 70HP BET 2 stroke, 3 cylinder outboard engine. However, I do not the the correct fuel / oil mix ratio. I think it may be 100:1. Can anybody help
please?
I can only tell you my Vire 6hp inboard was meant to run on 50:1 (I think) but runs best (when running at all) on 30:1.
A lot richer than yours, but also 20 odd years older.
I see your problem now, I had a few minutes spare, so I thought I'd trawl the interwebnet for answers, but it is hard to find any specifics. Obviously your motor does not automix, perhaps an email to Yamaha UK might help?
100:1 seems to be a ratio that gets twostrokes through US emission legislation.
Some of the sites I have visited suggest50:1 as a better mix for longer engine life.
