FUEL MIX

Please ,what is the correct oil/gas mixture for a 2hp yamaha outboard.

100:1

50:1 for the first litre I think.

Although the book said 100:1, the chap who serviced my rather old one recommended I ran it on 50:1.

If it's an older one, stick to the book. Newer ones can be subtly different and require a different mix. Too much oil can foul the plug.

However, use top quality outboard oil, not necessarily the cheapest made for air cooled engines - lawn mowers etc..
