Apologies for the localised thread but can anyone provide an update on which fuel stations are open please? I know Cowes is shut but does anyone have any information regarding Port Hamble, Swanwick, Yarmouth or elsewhere please?

i took petrol at hythe on Wednesday. no problems and well organised. £1.34 with MDL Discounts which i wasnt too offended, expect it will come down as they get rid of what's in the tanks but frankly i am just happy to be able to use it again!!

Itchen marine diesel fuel berth is open, ring first and they will make sure somebody is there . 107p a litre .
I thought that was bad enough seeing as white on the forecourt is around the same (thought red was supposed to be cheaper) but then I went past mdl port Hamble and like previously mentioned 124p for diesel and 168p for petrol. That’s a complete rip off and mdl should be ashamed of themselves !

I expect why the Port Hamble prices are higher than other suppliers is because their fuel was bought quite a few months ago, when the prices were higher, so they’d make a loss if they sold it now at the current low ‘market rate’.

I doubt very much that MDL would make that much of a loss, even berth holder discounted prices are way higher than other fuel berths. Their “at cost” pricing is just a load of old baloney !
even once the old stock is gone they won’t lower prices, especially on the Hamble !
it’s robbery imo .

You can now buy gas oil for 33ppl so looks like they are trying it on a bit, a bit like a garage near to me who was trying to charge more than others claiming they weren’t selling as much and profits were down so needed the extra money.
