Fuel Gauge

I am wanting to fit a fuel gauge to a plastic diesel tank. Boat is a Hunter Horizon 272. The top of the tank can be accessed easily but not the sides. Can anyone help?

I am planning a similar installation for both the fuel and water tanks in my boat.
Tek-Tanks do a mechanical guage which looks just the job. Have a look on www.tek-tanks.com
