So I studied and read and wired in my new fuel gauge! Thought I was almost there, I was wrong.
I then took the sender to fit to the tank. It has a flange on the outside, a gasket, the tank, another gasket on the inside of the tank and the final flange on the inside. The machine screws bite into the backing flange. I've drilled it carefully, two of the screws are mm out and won't bite to tighten the flanges. I am faced with two choices - drill out the holes in the outside/top flange to give enough pay for the screws to bite into the bottom flange or drill both flanges and tighten a nut and bolt to squeeze the rubber gaskets to close the holes.
Which one?
