Dear bods of the forum
I'm about to backflush my new separator ( THIS IS THE LINK ) - I've just done a biggish run and the boats been laid up, so I'm draining the crud / filling and treating the tanks this morning and thought it prudent to backflush the filters.
Anyway - the last item on the instructions - 'close the bleed screw and prime the filter' - does 'prime' mean 'allow the filter to fill up and close the bleed screw'?
I know what prime means. I also used to write technical manuals, and this instruction doesn't follow my old addage of 'assume the new user knows nowt.'
As this is supposed to be a 'reduce downtime' bit of kit I'm assuming that you don't have to bleed the whole fuel line i.e. there's no air in once you reopen the fuel line?
/end of daft question
