Does anyone have any rough ideas as to the fuel consumption of my engines??

They are 108hp Ford Dover based Thorneycroft marinised 6 pot diesels.

There are two of them in my Freeman 32.

at 5 knots they are running at about 1000 rpm. WOT 17 knots @ 2500 rpm. Goes over the hump at 12 knots.

Particularly interested in consumption at higher speeds. Any ideas??

40 litres per hour, or as we ancients say 8 gallons an hour, running both at about 2200, 15 knots with our Ford SABRE 180's in a 33' aquabell. If you can pull 2500 then run at 2300 ish thats what the book says.

A picture might spoil the idea it is a nice boat but here goes!

She was sold to me as a Tremlett but she is a Corsair, I haven't come across another one the same except in an old ad. Pair of NA six cylinder Fords so really they don't do the hull justice.

Afraid they won't, that hull needs plenty of power and really starts to come alive at the right side of 35 knots! Still nothing that a little re-engining project can't sort out. Is she on vee drives or straight shafts?

when I last saw her she was "shafted"

Thought I had a better picture!

She is on straight shafts. I do wonder about re engining but I suspect it would be a rather expensive exercise. As would be feeding her diesel!
