I think they often have Volvo 74 s @ 430 HP, some have 63Ps at @ 370HP

I think you should be able to do a bit better than 1 mpg at 20 knots, but not much better.

FWIW, I once had a Sealine 410 (very similar hull to 42/5) with TAMD63P 370hp engines and she did about 1.1-1.2mpg at cruise speed which was 20-22kts. At 10kts I dunno as it's not the sort of speed you'd cruise at. Too fast for displacement speed, too slow for planing but I'd guess around 1.5mpg
