Fuel consumption Oceanis 323 - Yanmar 3YM20

I am buying a Beneteau Oceanis 323 with a Yanmar 3YM20, what sort of fuel consumption can I expect under motor only ?

Hi, My 323 has the Volvo & those figures sound about right.

For a volvo 2020, very similar motor,

2000 rpm will give 4.5 kts at a consumption of fractionally over 1 litre / hour

2500 rpm will give 5.5 kts but consumption rises to 2 litres/ Hour

3000 rpm can drive her at 6 kts with 3 litres / hour consumption

Flat out can make 6 .5 kts but uses 4 litres / hour.

Clean bottom and flat seas.

Hi, the yanmar website has very useful planning graphs for the 3ym20. The figures quoted compare with the yanmar graphs. Hope you enjoy the yacht, we have just bought the same model with the same engine. These forums, along with pm'ing people who have the same yacht have been very helpful in assisting us with my bone questions.
