Fuel Cells for Power Generation

What is needed to install and how easy is it. Can they go inside the boat? Any online manual that we can be given a link to?
Basically you need to install the electrical cables from fuel cell to batteries, with a fuse. Fuel cell goes in the boat.

I'll try to remember to take a photo of my installation later today, and post it later today or tomorrow.

Hi,

. The most common fuel for on board generation is Methanol.

Fuel cells will produce a continuous current until the batteries are charged. They come in sizes from 25W (2.1A at 12V) to 90W (7.5A at 12V). They use about 0.9l of Methanol per kW produced. They are also small and lightweight.

Please ask any questions you might have.

Tom

Could LPG be used instead of Methanol? Are there any larger units , say 2 kw at 230V, available.
