Cant see the point in adding additive to a full tank before a long trip only to blast it through the engines. Would it not have more effect to add it to the remaining fuel or when you next refuel after your journey. Dave.

Dave, it's not the fuel in the tank you are looking after,.it's your motor mate, put the additive in and run it through.

But he could have a point. I've just gone through nearly three bottles of Soltron trying to kill the bug. But then I've been blasting it through the tank maybe faster than it could do any good. Anyway I gave it another dose when I parked up and hope it will. Fester and kill the bloody stuff.

Dave. Its using the additive as an inhibitor I refer too. To kill any bugs in the tank. If it is blasted straight through the engines, is it in long enough to have any effect? Dave.

Puting it in and burning it straight away logically can do no good. I bort some solly in Alderney a few weeks ago and waited until I returned to England before using it for the same reason.
