Has anyone recently traveled from the Netherlands or Germany along rivers/canals through France to the Mediterranean coast?

I would like to get advice from respected forum members on how best to plan a boat route from the Netherlands through France to the Mediterranean. This year, there is an idea to go along the canals to Lyon and then to San Luis. However, I doubt that my boat will be able to pass due to its dimensions with the mast down (Jeanneau Prestige 42S). It also seems to me that there may be problems with fuel since there are few boat stops with gas stations on the canals. As an option, I considered transporting the boat to the Saone River above Lyon, but it seems there is no lift or crane anywhere there... at least I did not find any on the maps.

If anyone has recently traveled a similar route, please respond.

No personal experience of the French rivers/canals to the Med but have been looking at it as it is a possibility for us. A quick Google brings up a lot and YouTube has plenty of people sharing genie experience. I don’t think that draft, beam and length would be an issue with your Jeanneau but not sure about air draft - mac air draft is 3.5m.

On 13th March the Motorboat section of the CA will be having a webinar on cruising to the Med albeit via the Danube

Last season our yacht club did a cruise through France, they got stuck with weed quite frequently and it extended their cruise by quite a bit, this year they are going to Berlin. We were not on the cruise last summer as we were in the process of buying our current boat.

Here is some doing the same, but in the opposite direction on a Broom 33
Boating across Europe: 'Traffic was very light and by lunchtime we had covered 25km and passed three locks'

i used an app while cruising which once you put all your vessel dimension allows you to plan your journey through Europe

its Called Waterkaarten
boat navigation

It is excellent
We use it too, full of useful information too, better than Navionics for the inland water ways. Covers UK, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, and shortly Denmark too.
It came recommended by other users in our yacht club in Belgium
