The weather has been great at home, I've cut the grass pressure washed the driveway, patio's and earned brownie points off the wife.
This morning I phoned my motor insuranc company and they for £183+ are going to allow my car in France for a period not exceeding 90 days.
Why do I need to take my car to France? I'm returning to the boat and I've been buying more t ........ items.
What have I got to take back?
The wind generator (never worked during my ownership and still not 5 yrs old, its return was the reason I had to take my car down last year) now repaired using spares and expertise supplied gratis by the manufacturer.
The refrigerator brand new and a christmas present.
The bargain a 10kg bruce and 90ft of chain 2nd hand for £50.
Target HF rec. + weatherfax software.
A brandnew ghetto blaster.
Books, boxes of with which the wife will attempt to replenish any lending library we pass.
Personal items, growing daily........extra pillowcases.........a steamer.......kitchen knives.........etc. as wife realises departure date is nigh.
The return journey will be made alone, armed with a huge worklist and a mandate to move from Valence to Avignon soonest. SWMBO will join me in that magnetic place mid May by then of course my 90 day car insurance will have me thinking of the journey home.
I was thinking of a new boat and approached Hunter about the 31 footer which they are offering as a kit+ with nearly £5000 saving but...... they hav'nt found time to reply yet, perhaps I'll find something tastier 2nd hand.
What to do with Kliever, well returning perhaps to Avignon in August a move to Port Napolean/St. Louis (I believe I'm already too late for Barcelona) for an autum stay in the sun. Or a move north returning to our homeport in time for drizzle/sleet and christmas.
The foregoing is just a little bit of my attempt to be a liveaboard, I wonder what pressures others endure?
Any replies comments soonest my departure date is 25/4
