Fridge options

I'm looking for a fridge for my fairline 21 where space is limited. Many of the sub £200 camper van ones I've seen specifically state not for boats. The more expensive ones that are ok would also obviously need to be built in somewhere.
I'm therefore considering a 30-40 litre portable top opening compressor type and wonder if anyone has any experience of one on a boat ?

The not for boat ones are generally powered as an option by LPG, which would be lethal to use on a boat. Try Penguin Marine in Havant.

I bought a 38 litre fridge/freezer to use as a supplement to the fitted fridge. It worked great for keeping drinks cold. Unfortunately it was recalled due to an electrical fault and I haven’t got a replacement yet but I will get another before the summer. Works on 12 volt or 230. I run on an inverter when not using shore power

I have a mobicool mcf 40, great bit of kit. Use it in addition to the built in fridge.
Doesn’t use too much power on 12v, nothing to fault. Let know if you want any more information.

I bought the Dellonda fridge/freezer cool box for our boat last year. Great piece of kit, quiet and does what you ask - chills or freezes.

The compressor one we tried made quite a noise. And was running much of the time (Med).

I've put these into my last 2 boats and just bought another for this one, my mate also replaced his with one, never an issue runs on 12 or 24v with a wire link swap over runs quite and perfectly.
No gas to worry about and runs perfectly.
its a 68ltr capacity so a bit bigger than the dearer 55ltr ones on all the usual places.
