Friday Dreaming - New Explorer 58

Nice, but for me the Fleming wins every time.

Of course I like the Fleming, like it's price even less though!

I think the style is attractive yet full of practicalities, unfortunately I think it needs to be around 60' in length for the style to have the right proportions, much smaller and it looks a little odd. Of course that means a price point few can reach and this style of boat seems to hold extremely good residual values.

Better pick the right numbers tonight then!!!!

I can't help but think something like this would really help Fairline standout from their UK competition.

A suggestion that a few others on here have put forward in the past. For the life of me I cannot understand why a mainstream UK boatbuilder has not got into the bluewater trawler yacht market. Beneteau, Azimut Magellano, Cranchi and Absolute seem to be cleaning up at the lower/middle end of the market with Fleming and Grand Banks at the top end. There has to be a market for a mainstream British built competitor. Not all of us want to tool around in a bling gin palace especially when we've got a bit older and got more time on our hands to go a bit further
