Hi, I wonder if anyone can assist with a pressurised fresh water system issue - there’s lots of threads out there but I still cannot get to the bottom of the issue..

The system will reach pressure and pump will switch off as expected. However, each time i use a tap on board, the water simply splutters and doesn’t run consistently (the pump will come on). This happens at all taps. I can run the water continuously to try and remove any air pockets but it still does not improve. I have traced for a leak through the system but cannot find any obvious culprit. I have tried today to leave the system with pressure without using the taps for 12 hours - the pump hasn’t kicked in once which I would have assumed to suggest no leak so am at a loss?

Am i missing something that anyone could point out or anyone experienced similar issues that they have managed to resolve?

Thanks in advance

Many thanks for the responses. I will double check the connections from tank to pump once again. I ahve identified the strainer so let me take a closer look at that as suggested. The tank is full (or almost full) but still same issue.

Any idea where I would find the tank breather?

Top of the tank -- anywhere.
Does it still do it with the filling plug out? If so its not likely to be the breather.

did it all work ok then the problem started, or has it been like this since you got the boat?
