I live a the bottom of a hill near the centre of Bristol. On a weekly basis we end up with shopping trolleys abandoned around our road. Fed up with tipping them I have decided to use the last 2 to make outboard motor stands. (obviously if the name of the store is marked on the trolly then I must suggest that you take the trolly back to where it belongs and do not take an angle grinder to it!)
Photo below is pretty self explanatory. I have one holding up a 6 hp long shaft and a 4 hp s/s and one with this 3.3 s/s. If you want to have a long shaft on it then you need to unbolt the wheels out of the bottom of the stubs that you have cut off and drill holes into the floor lengths and bolt through the wheels to give you the extra height.
