YM has been contacted by a TV production company with the following request:

We have an urgent requirement for a family who love sailing to take part in the hit ITV show Holiday Showdown. Are you available from Monday 30th August till Wednesday 8th September and are passionate enough to convince anyone to enjoy sailing. You will first spend a five days with another family on their favourite holiday. We will then charter a boat for you such as an Oceanis 461 for a week, or book the sailing holiday of your choice, Henri Lloyd have even agreed to kit you all out.

Expect the usual stereotype of a 'typical boating family' and then wonder why we're alwasy so misunderstood!!

If its anything like the last programme, they'll rip appart the "traditional" Spanish beach holiday and the families that like them, and suggest that the only normal people are those who take more adventurous holidays.

So who knows, raggies may actually come out of this looking good for once.
