I can recommend both, highly. The sextant user's guide is really clear; simple to follow and if I can manage the maths, then most folk should!

The single-handing guide is brilliant and very well written. I was especially absorbed by the sections on sail trim and self-steering. Andy has also published an extended version (approx 40,000 extra words) for sale on Amazon. I've added this to my Christmas wish-list!
