Hello, We have recently purchased a Frans Maas, Steel 36ft sloop, Breeon Class, 1963/4. She has been restored below deck but we are having problems balancing her sails. Previous owners have fitted furling headsails but this does not balance with the mainsail. Tried lots of things. Anyone know how I can get an original sailplan? Or has anyone else got a lovely Breeon? and can assist?

A quick search led me to the Standfast website guestbook, it seems that someone owning a Breeon received some service from Standfast yachts. It is true that Frans Maas designed for Standfast. So try here. Good luck

Please say that his son has send you to him and he will understand. I am Jan Prins Jr.

I hope he is able to help you.

But in all the way it's a classical yacht. So the point is to have a small forsail and a bigger main sail, because otherwise he is highing up to the wind so much. That's what I can say.

Please say to him if you have a polyester larger one Breeon from 12 meter or the one from 10.82 steel one.

I hope all the best.

Regards,

Jan Prins Jr.

I am driving a breeon too, maybe I can help Lori

I have got the original sailplan from frans maas. the former owner designed a new one with a smaller main sail. But in discussion with frans maas he told me that it would run better with the old main sail design. I will try when a new mainsail is nessesary. for details please contact
