I have a knackered Francis anchor winch with a burnt out Lucas motor. I have tried in vain for the last few months to obtain a replacement, but to no avail. The motor is far too corroded to have it rewound. Any hot tips for where I can obtain a replacement will be rewarded with free access to my email joke collection. If this fails, I might have to replace the motor with an alternative unit - not an easy task as some cunning engineer has fiendishly designed the windlass so that the mounting bolts pass through the bottom of the gearbox assembly.
