France/Belgium canals

Hi I intend taking my summer hols this year on the French/Belgium canals.
I'm intendind to enter at Calais and go through to Belgium onto Gent and Brugge.
Can anybody advise me on good stopover places, Places not to bother going and any thing else that might come in hany for me to know>

Several of the boat mags have had details of this trip recently. Try MBM or MBY, I'll have a look tonight and see if I can find which one.

Friends of ours are currently cruising Belgium and Holland, having done France 2 years ago.

They set up a website, www.the-river-thames.co.uk which has a detailed a/c of France plus progress on latest Belgium/ Holland.

Might have some useful info'. Also gives private email address.
