Here are some nice computer renderings of the Dashew's new FPB :

They mention that the vessel is "Operation and maintenance engineered so a couple can, if they so choose, operate on their own without crew".

I am thinking it would be rather difficult to get her Loadline Length under 24m, if she is 97' long overall, hence I am wondering if the couple who own and operate her themselves would need to have qualifications to run her?

If so, would (say) a Power Yachtmaster ticket be sufficient?
(Never mind that Yachtmasters are for vessels under 24m).
Or would this issue of tickets be mainly dependent on the flag state chosen?

You could stick a 20mm canon on the foredeck and it would look totaly natural.

Is that a Photodog special Canon camera with a super wide angle lense? :D

But hey, if you had a 20 mm canon on the foredeck, you could then obtain a letter of marque from the Government, and set up as a freelance privateer......... :)

Life would be boring if we all had the same views re what boats are 'pretty' or fugly'.

I must admit that I think the FPB 97 certainly looks the business - and dare I say that I think she is much more attractive (in every way) than (say) the large Predators from Sunseeker, which are really totally OTT.
Here is their 92 :

BTW, can anyone offer any opinions on what the legal crewing requirements for a vessel like this would be?
