The dog retrieved a Tilly hat from the Orwell today. If it is yours I am happy to arrange return.

A picture of you wearing it posted on this forum would establish your rights to it, and give us all some entertainment.

FYI A 95 C wash seems to have removed most of the guests.

It may be mine

I lost mine off the Buxey last year while trying to bring FC back under control when the mainsheet traveller tore free in Burnham Week.
I was a bit too preoccupied to go chase it.

Mine is a size 7 1/8 and I will post a pic shortly.

I'd want to see a picture of you steering with your hands off the wheel before i'd applaud....Auto pilot disengaged..of course.

See, perseverence pays.

Shmoo, I am in Bridgemarsh on the Crouch, but no sprayhood.

I will PM you my address - quite happy to pay postage and a finders fee!
Or a healthy dollop in the RNLI tin.

Thanks.

Jim

Ah yes

I remember it very well the sad sad look on FCs face as the hat flew off landing in the briny within seconds lost from view so well was it matched to the murky east coast water.

Maybe we should have a cermony when its repatriated with the bonce that it belongs on but said tilly hat may be somewhat let down to find another has taken it place
