Sohvi, an adorable 1974 Fjord MS 33 recently refitted to an amazing standard by @Arcady of this parish. She's out for survey, but confident this is just to jump through insurance hoops. Looked at quite a few other boats, but she wasn't a hard choice. Perfect size, sails nicely with an easy to handle rig, cosy and great looking. Remember to put some extra fenders out if you see her this year.

Her refit was extensively blogged here SOHVI: FOR SALE

Nicest motorsailer I've seen for a long time.
Now you've posted those pics, you're going to have to keep it that clean and tidy!

Congratulations. She looks smashing.

That's the smartest motor-sailor I've seen, and a huge credit to the previous owner and the refurb'ing yard. Let me wish you many long years to enjoy her.

And.... if you wouldn't mind too much, permit me to plagiarise some of the internal detailing - especially in the use of that block-laminated timber sectional worktop. I have some of that as unused worktops, and that's 'zackly what I'd like to see on boat my li'l ould mouldy boat. :sneaky:

If you want some more detailed photos, give me a shout in a few weeks.

She does look very fine indeed, and is a real tribute to the efforts by Arcady to restore her to such a high standard.
He has also posted some photos of her on the FB Motorsailer group, but not recently - if you are not already a member, please do join and introduce yourself with a few of these excellent photos.
Motorsailers, motorsailors, motor sailers, motorsailer and motorsailor :)

Just a thought - Would buying her in Guernsey invalidate her VAT status? If so, better to make the transaction happen in France!

That's possibly a good plan, though not sure how that effects the UK and of things and not sure it would be worth the cost on both ends of a euro transaction. The current owner is an islander in finance so would possibly have more of an idea.

As the (very contented) owner of a current generation AWB I’d like to add my appreciation of your new boat, she looks lovely. Full credit to the previous owner for an amazing job. Hope she brings you much pleasure and enjoyment. Fair winds.
