Price offered and accepted today on my next vessel.

Even comes with a recent survey. A few issues and some TLC required, but she is precisely what I wanted - Corvette 32.

Cummins / Thornycroft 6 cylinder 210 HP lumps on shafts via Hurth gearboxes - good old tractor engines.

Will have to re-name her once She is at her new home - photos and details to follow once the deal is done.

Also the VAT status is bullet proof, or at least it will be when I have paid it. Owned in the CI since new. I will be third owner.

Photobucket is very easy to use these days Trevor. Upload photos to your library, then copy the URL and paste into your post. There are 4 URL's for each photo, and use the bottom one. Preview your post post, then hit the go button. There are more comprehensive instructions from Hurricane if you search for threads.

The Mac doesn't find photo bucket in the app store. The link shows the brokers photos. I was getting boat blind after seeing so many similar and left the camera duty to littlun. Plenty inside, but none outside (yet).

Very nice boat. I had same engines on an Aquastar 33 which I owned for seven years, with no issues apart from service items.

1 Benjenbav - could you elaborate on 'Service spares issues' please. Who did you use for parts, as I am not yet familiar, but understand Latestarter is the forum guru here.

The Cummins do appear in good fettle and started first flick of the key and sounded really sweet.

2 She comes with a recent survey. The same surveyor is going to look her over, but Y Yachts have advised they will accept this is the vendors name, just as long as the highlighted issues are attended to and they have given me reasonable time to attend to these, but nothing too significant. This means I do not require an out of the water survey.

3 All things being equal She will be living at Foulkes with a month or so. Anthony has let my old berth out, but will squeeze me in somewhere / somehow until a berth comes free.

4 Her current name is Coolavin II, which I am not keeping. This will be the first time I have re-named a boat and we are still deciding between what this will be, but the shortlist is growing presently rather than reducing.

I will be conducting a re-naming ceremony and if at all possible I would like to do this the same weekend as the Bursledon regatta, but not sure I will have her over by then. All will be welcome to attend for a beer or glass of wine as long as some of it is presented to King Neptune.

Finally as She will be new to me I will be looking for buddy escorts making a similar crossing from Jersey, Guernsey or Alderney around the same time, so if any 'issues' do arise I can call for assistance. Don't need to be in sight, just it would be nice to know that others are around if help is needed.

Latestarter is indeed the guru on these engines! The only engine items I needed on mine iirc were: oil, belts, filters... plus a clip on a turbo hose.

I requested sight of the title documents prior to remitting the deposit, and with them came a full survey report from last September - apart from some minor issues commensurate with her age and lack of appropriate TLC no issues of concern at all, A quick call to the surveyor and he has now re-visited the boat and is happy for me to use the survey from last year for insurance purposes, and he reiterates what he observed 11 months ago.

Y Yachts have also been superb as you can actually discuss your circumstances with them and their underwriters and the price is less than I was paying for a lesser policy elsewhere for my Turbo 36, mind you this one won't make the insurance ramping 17 knots.

Not quite Jez's superb new craft, but what I want - precisely what I want.

Now I just need to decide upon her new name.
