There is a very useful news item from the RYA East on the restrictions to navigating Foulger's Gat between January and August due to London Array construction. You can download it from here

It looks like Foulger's Gat users will find entry going north a little inconvenient: either diagonally between two turbines or heading a bit east to enter the alleyway.

Thanks Roger.

I have to say, that while it will be a tad inconvenient while work is under way, I do get the impression that post construction, the extra bouyage, and the physical presence of the turbines themselves will probably make Foulgers gat easier to use.... which would be nice on a stormy night!

You are right of course. I guess it's just getting used to different things. The thought of that alleyway on a stormy night - blades to the left of me, blades to the right, stuck in the middle of ? Umm, yes well.

It's the helicopter effect init. You know there is 9ft clearance but you still duck!

It always seemed to me to be a close call when going under the Orwell Bridge, until you see boats go underneath when driving past. :)

I have always found the prospect of the London Array mildly depressing, hopefully I won't be as bad as I fear.
