I left the "guest" foulies in the hanging locker over the winter, and you've guessed it, they do look a bit like a scene from Aliens with all that mildew morphing into something far more sinister.

Apart from "nuking the whole goddam lot from orbit, it's the only way to be sure" what's the best way to clean them? They are quite old red and white splashdown jobbies...they've been through the washing machine without much luck.

I have in the past used "mould and mildew remover" with some success (learn from my mistakes? Moi?) but I'm wondering if a bucket of diluted bleach or some other kind of wonder cleaner might work.

They don't have to be perfect...just need to get past a guest saying "ah, no thanks, I'll just get wet instead"
