Good to put faces to names, Lisa cruised by in a rib, and Steve turned up in Thanks Mum. Great to meet both of you. Shawn (Lanerboy) was the other side of the river, so a near miss there.

I will put a proper post together over the weekend, but our Snazi, now properly named Rafiki, is settling in to her new berth at Portishead. I found the transport process quite stressful, and ended up in hospital yesterday, having slashed myself a few times with a pen knife, trying to cut through the sealer on the radar mast. Anyway, I just have the rebuild process to look forward to!

Glad I met you Raf (albeit very fleetingly!!) before you left. Keep away from sharp objects in future! (hope you're ok tho).

Steve, you know when you're getting really old when you no longer have a girl in every port and you have a twirl instead ;) give it another year and I reckon every forumite in and around the Solent will have a stock of chocolate just in case you stop by ;)

First time for me on the Hamble yesterday, was in Mercury Marine and left about
5-50pm Friday evening. Saw “Thanks Mum’’ and ‘’Busy Bee’’on there berths unfortunately no owners to say hello to. My son had the use of a 34 Rassy sail boat for a couple of days, had a nice trip to Isle of Wright and a stay in Cowles Marina. Can see why boaters have a happy time on the South Coast with the Island so close. Are costs that much more in the Hamble.

ps after my experience of sailing I have come to the conclusion I much prefer to point and push than point and pray when leisure boating.

Today we did our first baby steps of coastal boating after our PB2 course last weekend. With friends we had a little trip out to Port Hamble.
A lovely lunch at Banana Wharf then a stroll into the village then back to boat to chill out in the sun. Great day:cool:

(Our OV pontoon seems to have a jinks . Last weekend a woman had epileptic moment and today we had to call 999 as guy fell in and broke his shoulder).
