Forum Xmas Decorations

Re: Humbug.

Boo Hoo, I would love to have a xmas piccy, but I'm a dunce and don't know how to do it, it's just not fair, dummy on floor, toys shortly to follow! Mmmmmmmmmm! Aaaaaaaaaaa splat!

Re: Humbug.

OK, try the easy bit first. You can use the reindeer one that I first used above, twirling a wreath around
Go to user options at top of page.
Look for person information. Over at the right there is an 'edit' click on edit
Scroll down to the bottom and you'll see a box for Your Photo
Copy this:
http://www.arweb.co.uk/aralbums/album08/reindeer.gif
and paste in into the box
Finally click the Submit at the very bottom

Voila, you have a xmas piccie!! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Re: B1 saiz..

as stingo says, easiest way is to find an existing animated gif. However, most of them don't like you linking to them, as it overloads their servers so you need to put it onto B1's site. Find a posting by him and follow the links to the piccies, where you'll see info on downloading

The pictures should have a pixel size of 65 wide by 75 high, so you'll need to edit if very different. You can't just edit an animated gif like normal, as it is made of several gifs in a special program (not a photo editor).

Search on google for animated gif editor, and take your pick of one that suits. It's important to select all the images and edit them simultaneously, and then check the results

Once you've got the hang of it, you can start making your own animated gifs if you have the skills to put together the separate gifs for the animation

Re: Humbug.

There you go! easy.
Now you can either stick with that one, or search google for animated gif (together with christmas or festive or xmas to get a quicker result) and tell us which one you fancy and copy the url and we'll tell you if it will work here, or fix it for you so it does

Re: In the Spirit of This Forum

You need to type in "[image]"full location and filename, and end with"[/image]" , (do not type the "quotes")

In this case, "http://www.animatedgif.net/seasonal/xmas/lightsanim_e0.gif" was inserted as the full location and filename (both at the top and bottom of message), giving the appearance of this ......

If you then preview your post, you will see if you are successful or not....
