Hi there,

I'm using the search facility to look up some old posts.

When I type in the keywords, it finds the post in the list - but then when I click on it, it takes me to a totally different post about 80% of the time.

Could a few others try it and see if it's my computer or the search links playing up??

Thanks

Grant

could it be the precision of the search terms ?

I put in ""old posts" to see what happens, and I get 241 references, some to "former" posts and some to "wooden" posts.

What sort of search terms are you using ? Are you using " search term", or just putting in two words without quote marks. ?

I searched for:-

standard horizon

this then pulled up the post about the SH plotter and VHF that I wanted, I clicked on the link - and what opened was a post about a bayliner and it's bellows!

I tried again then with a post I'd done on:-

Birmingham show tickets

again found the post, clicked it and a post about liferafts came up!

odd; I get the same result.

However, using the far superior (!) Altavista search engine and typing in

" "standard horizon" ybw "

I get a list which relates solely to SH plotters etc.

An anomaly somewhere in IPC Towers.

OH GAWD.....

I have just tagged an answer to the Standard Horizon thread.... It has added it to a TOTALLY different thread!!!! I'm not alone here, other people have done the same thus corrupting both threads!
