We had a week beginning August, st tropez was full, we tried booking and calling VHF but no chance so we stayed on anchor, the town was very busy.
We managed to get a berth in Sainte Maxime and also got a berth in Beaulieu just outside the African Queen.

We tried all the ports in Cannes and Antibes but no joy.

Aegean very uncrowded and beautiful. We often had very quiet anchorages or only boat there. Utterly stunning islands, great people and great food.

@Hooligan after a few seasons in Greece, you got to get a couple of 50m floating 22-25mm yellow ropes and start anchoring properly with lines on the rocks/trees

Granted if you're alone in such a bay, you don't have to bother!

Anyhow just a quick update….yesterday I met Zkaliman in Nice. It was a wet miserable day, despite the day before and after being fabulous…we had lunch in a small restaurant (I had a burger and chips)…Zkaliman is a good guy…interesting to talk to and very friendly…
