An hour and a quarter wait at Boulters to let some junior rowers through got us well drenched, cleared by Marlow though

As I said at the time a good job apollo wasn't there what was more gauling was that as we exited the lock they were waiting to come back down

Fantastic afternoon/ evening, well B1, organised to a tee and the hospitality and friendliness of TMYC was really something else, not to mention the cracking brekkie cooked by the commodore! Shame about some heavy rain on the way back, but the sun came out eventually so the weekend still finished on a high!

I think everyone has already said everything! We had a great time, good to meet people, Boatone great organisation and if you organise another one we will be back.

Now all I need to do is remember boat names........

Just wanted to add our thanks to Tony. It was great to meet everyone, albeit briefly! I hope we can get our boat sorted and go onto the Thames soon.

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the FORUM

Cruising down just past Longridge on Saturday, outside the castellated property there were a group of Longridge kids in small dinghies being herded to one side to let us pass (the instructors and safety boats at Longrdige are excellent), coming towards us at great speed were a dozen kayakers on the wrong side of the river. 10 of them cut across our bow and passed on the correct side, one came past close on the wrong side - the other one decided to slalom right through the dinghies, as he past the last dinghy, its boom swung out and craked him on the head! He turned round and laughed so no damage done, he wasn't wearing a helmet so probably had a bit of a bump when he got home.

The fun of the river.

I suspect the real "borrower" of Pande's diesel will be safely back on their mooring by Tescos by now.......

If you would like to do it again next year please indicate - dates get snapped up very quickly and we were lucky to find a free weekend at WIndsor.

We were out last weekend and we will be out this weekend as well. Two weeks away from the boat was long enough, I had withdrawl symptons.

We are going on an illuminated cruise with TWYC on Saturday. Sanna wants to go out in the dark but doesn't trust me by myself, I don't know why!

If you have to wait another couple of weeks it won't be good
