Following requests I've been getting by PM and in consultation with Dan, the decision has been made to stick this to the top so everyone can get at it without having to look for a post from myself, so here it is

It might also help if people post here when they add something to it, saves having to check for updates

Re: East Coast Forum Calendar

Dave,

Perhaps over the coming weeks we might find an alternative to Google as the store for this.....

Reason.... its a PITA to keep logging in and out of this and my own google account.... and I'm sure others must have the same problem...

There must be an alternative.... i'll explore if you like?

Re: East Coast Forum Calendar

Hi Sixpence, I'd like to have a peek at the calandar if i may? I'm new to sailing this year but keen to make some new friends on the east coast, and maybe find some people who would like a crew member

Hull is my closest port (I live in Leeds) but happy to travel to Hartlepool down to the Wash

Cheers Andy

I assuming that you're on about being able to add items. If anyone just want to view, then clicky here...

Re: East Coast Forum Calendar

Hi Andy
I'll drop you a PM with the login details, it's dead simple really /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
There are quite a few of us based in the Wash, and some of the quieter ones are either further North or Wash based but head North rather than South. Commonly known as unsocial buggers, but if you're local you'll know it means something different /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Hoping we can sort out some more chances for people to meet up this season, it would be good if those further up the coast could get together more often, even if it's just the BBQ on the sand bank in the Wash
Cheers for now
Dave

New calendar?

Have you noticed the forum now has a calendar facility. Maybe Mr Dan can be pursuaded to create an East Coast one?

V-Bulletin can also cope with giving different permissions to different people: should be possible, in time, to have have 2-3 people authorised to manage an East Coast Forum calendar without compromising security on all the other aspects of the board.

Looking at the vBulletin site, you can create a forum specific calendar..... time to get lobbying.... suspect he'll not be interested for a few days yet though.... :)

Checking in when I get the time online so I'm still watching :D

Sounds to me like it could be a damn fine idea, much better than going to any outside site which is the problem we had, so yes from me, go for it, but obviously I'm not online enough to transfer everything that's already on it, so over to you for that :D

Hopefully I'm back on line properly now so I've got a bit more free time for stuff like this, and I've already contacted Dan about this in any case ;)
Suppose as it was my idea in the first place I should really take responsibility for the move too, just waiting for him to get back to me but I think he's got loads of other things to work on too so it might be a while. I'll update as soon as I know what's happening

:D
Going to be a bit of a wait, had a chat with Dan who wasn't fully aware of the facility
Currently swamped with requests from all and sundry to do various tweakings but he'll sort it out soon, I think ;)

I did that & got an amazing amount of blank squares:(
I'm sure the East Coast has a little bit more variety ;)
