I've noticed a few comments about the calendar and how some would like a different one. How about a free one from Bravenet ?

I just set a very quick, out of the box calendar up, you don't need to log on to view events. Everyone could be given access to add events, or a group of members ?

Also has the facility to add a photo gallery to the account, maybe useful to put a few pics up of events ? Again, a quick and dirty example, which also needs no login to view the pictures, I've thrown a couple of pics up from last weekend, just as a demo. The site is paid for for advertising, but you never see ads if you use Firefox with the adblocker addon anyway :)

I set these up without using any personal information, other than my email address, which could easily be changed to an anonymous one for the forum. If everyone thinks it's useful, i'm happy to give it a tweak as needed and hand it over to the forum. If not, no big deal to dump it.

:D

nevermind! Thanks for looking though. Perhaps everyone feels the same as I do - unless it's a click-through from this forum (ie, you have to open another application) then we might as well stick with what has alraedy been set up. I'm not techie enough to be able to tell any difference...

Not sure what you mean there Lil ? If it was set as a sticky, it's still just a click to view the calender in your browser, same as now. Difference is, no need to logon.

It was just a thought, after reading some requests for a calender that didn't need a Google logon. No big deal to delete it, although after 60 odd views it would have been nice if someone had bothered to comment.

I'll mosy on over to the mobo forum.

So you brought your ball into the playground, introduced some rules which no one understands, no one joined in, and now you are taking your ball home again. Tch.:p

Not exactly. I saw some posts asking if there was an alternative calender available, i had a look and there was, so i posted a message about it.

I rather foolishy thought that it might be of interest. Sorry about that.
