On the boat we sleep in the forepeak (with infill) which means the berth is about 2ft wide at the foot and 7 foot wide at the head. We use a duvet to sleep under which we have shaped at the foot. Underneath (on top of the cushions) we just use an opened out sleeping bag to sleep on. It tends to get a bit rucked up because it's not wide enough to tuck under the cushions at the head end. The sleeping bag is swiftly coming to the end of its life.
Do I just go and buy another cheap sleeping bag to use as the bottom layer or has anyone got a better solution?
PS I like to stick my feet out from under the duvet so ditching the duvet and getting a fancy shaped sleeping bag is a non-starter.
