I've finally worked out what the 6 lengths of curved teak are that have been liviing in a wardrobe, unused, labelled as Port 1, 2 3 and Stbd 1,2 3.
They're toe rails to fit on the edge of the grp moulding under the guard rails...

So to anyone wise with such things, any tips on installation? I've borrowed a pic from a very similar boat to explain what I'm talking about.

Personally, if you’ve lived without these rails since you bought the boat, I wouldn’t bother installing them now, especially as it’s additional work to maintain the teak.

Thanks I see your point but they look smashing and considering every inch of exterior walking space on my boat is teak, six extra little rails won't make much difference :D

Mine are sikaflexed and screwed to the deck with 4 or 6 screws depending on length of them

For handling ropes in the canals they are great for getting that bit of extra safety and grip
Thanks mate.. They look good. And to be honest on my foredeck they'll add a little extra security to stop someone sliding under my guardrails on a rough day.

They do require a bit of work, and the anti slip on the deck can be rough on the knees :)

This is how they looked when we bought the boat

I guess fortunately for me I have all teak deck which is quite kind on the knees and my boat only uses 3 toe rails per side near the bow so not too eye watering. In contrast to that my deck is all teak so for at least the next 10 years I'll be spending 25 hours a day looking after that. Can't have it all I guess. haha

Truly gorgeous. 100 times better than the aluminium toe-rails most folks have.

Would be good to see a pic with them in situ, in due course.
Ahh thanks.. I have to say the factory in Taiwan know how to do teak. I'll definitely post a pic or two as soon as I get round to fixing them on. Should be a nice little finisher to to the foredeck.
