Forecabin Fitting Out - Slats and Headlining....help and advice please.....

WOW Eup!!! That's some truly inspirational work dude, many thanks for taking the time to post these.

'hope you don't mind me asking a few questions, if you have the time to comment I'd owe you one!

Did you have to brace the vertical supports to hold strips in forecabin and if so did u do them individually or en masse?
In retrospect would you start fixing the horizontal strips from the deck head level or from mattress level?
Would you varnish the strips before or after fixing?

Thanks again....I applaud and bow to your superior skills! :)

You can see there is a longituninal stringer in my boat so it made sense to start there and work up. that way any finishing mistakes will be covered by the bunk cushions and the headlining boards. The stringer also dictated the angle of thebattens.

The old IOR shape of the hull meant fairlt straight lines in the v Berth but things went a bit mental in the saloon wher most of the IOR bulges happen. It does take extra time to fiberglass the vertical battens in place but I can tell you it makes the seccond half of the job about half as long as you can then use glue and screws and not bother with making up braces.

i'm really pleased with the results
