We’re looking at a 27 footer with one of these in it and wondering what the known issues are. Obviously spare parts are cheap but are they a relatively trouble free engine?

The basic ford engine is good and trouble free but it will all depend on who did the marinisation

Make sure whoever installed it did proper job, a poster on here (Murv) had this marinisation in a boat ( Fairline Weekend or Holiday installed by a previous owner), recommend a decent sea trial at some sort of speed.
