Ford Tempest 4/58 engine

I have a Ford Tempest 4/58 engine fitted to my Nicholson 39. Does anyone have a workshop manual for this engine? I have been trying to remove the sea-water pump and neither my mechanic colleague nor I have succeeded. I would appreciate any tips or instructions.

Also I am looking for replacements for the sea-water hoses. These have the Ford Part numbers 9K473 and 9L429. Does anyone know of suppliers?

I have a Nic 39 too!

Unfortunately, I never serviced my seawater pump myself - an engineer did it during a general overhaul many, many years ago.

So not much help there then .

I suggest you contact Lancing Marine who are based just outside Brighton. They are very knowledgeable about Ford marine engines.

Lots of Nic39 owners (including me) have swopped to Ford FSD 2.5l units (basically a slightly more modern Transit engine) - Lancing were the suppliers of the new basic engine - which incidentally, comes from Turkey.
