Ford Mermaid engine problems

Hi all,
Does anyone know the web address for Ford Mermaid?
My Ford Mermaid 300bhp diesel engine is smoaking dadly the colour is gyay/bluish & very heavy. I have had the injectors & fuel pump overhalled & a turbo presure test done, all are working fine.
the company who carried out this work felt it was an over fuiling problem but the above work done now shows it was not.

I supect it may be using some oil as there is at times a little film on the waher from the exhaust.

OK, to hell with it. Unbolt it and we'll use it as an anchor!

Does it do this all the time? i.e. when hot its not so bad or stops?
also 'over fueling' can be caused by retarded timing on the engine.

so if you removed the pump and got it checked & put back in same
postion it still could be retarded. If it has not been checked it might
be worth trying.

You don't say which model it is.
Check the Turbo pressure and the wastegate (If fitted) operation. There is a connection between the inlet manifold and the pump the eliminate over fueling check the operation.
