Ford Lehman c.1980

Both I think..... my starter motor bolts are imperial, but the bolts and fittings on the injection pump are metric for example.... suspect that most of the main engine bolts are imperial, but that some of the other anciliaries will be metric as well. There are also quite a few screw capped machines nuts such as the rocker box cover.... thinking about it, my injector fittings were metric too.... some i'm not sure about as they were either 13mm or half inch, and as both spanners fitted wasn't sure which.... so its probably a bit of a hodge podge!

(1978 Lehman 80Hp)

PS, will be scrapping mine in the coming months, so if anyone with a similar engine is after any parts, let me know - brand new starter motor if nothing else!)

According to the list of torque limits on various bolts on the last page of the operating manual and spares list they are all imperial. It's possible, of course, that not every bolt is listed.

Dorset engines were Imperial, Dover engines were Metric. Covers if my memory is correct were post 83 engine no
833 6015 F cast into the block.
