Newbie here, what problems, if any, should I look out for on Lehman 120hp - say 30 years old? Oh should say around 3,000 hours.

And are spares readily available?

Cheers

We have Lehman 135s, about 25 years old, 2400hrs and they run as though just run in. Start on the button, virtually no smoke and run as sweet as a nut. Never had to buy spares apart from filters, which being Ford based engines, are readily available and very cheap.

They have a reputation for being durable, reliable workhorses. I have a pair, one of which has had a head gasket and a fuel pump overhaul. They smoke on starting, one is particularly bad, I should really check the injectors I suppose. Start instantly as long as the battery isn't a bit flat. Leak a bit of oil.
