... how do you keep them on when working with head inverted - e.g. when fixing cables under the lip of an under-bunk locker?

This forum being what it is, I expect somebody has found or devised a solution and I would be very pleased to hear of it - contact lenses are not an option. (And as the problem is so irritating, if a suitable solution were available I would be quite prepared to make a spectacle of myself :cool:.)
 
Of the shelf retaining straps. Tend to use an elasticated one on board which isn't as comfortable as a loose one but keeps the specs firmly in place

Thanks all - obvious really you may say. I do use the loose variety (my "Larry Grayson's", as a former colleague used to call them) and have had elasticated ones too in the past, but did not think the latter would keep the specs fully in place when completely inverted. I suppose it's just a question of keeping them tight enough.

PS And extra thanks for not using "Let me Google that for you ..." :rolleyes:

when you have mastered it then try with a head torch
 
Yep, got several of those - and have mastered looking like a Dalek.

I tend to work with my reading glasses in an 'end of nose' fashion, and don't in general like the elasticated straps pulling the glasses into my eyeballs. But you can't have everything, so it'll be another one to go with the torch - and a suitable pain relieving gel for the cramps.
 
A bit of sticky tape down your forehead, over the specs and down your nose. Not pretty but effective for when you forget the elastic specs retainer. Simple but effective.
