Interfacing the instruments. Now the autohelm steers to waypoints. And a stacking mainsail cover. No more trying to lash the main to the boom. Just head to wind release the halyard and down she comes, sitting in the cover until I'm moored up and then all it takes is one zip. A fridge would be nice.

Furling head-sail comes close second ...... leaving me free to stay 'dry' and comfortable in cockpit ...... yep you've got it - pulling ring-pulls !!

American Magma Gas Barbeque - mounted on the pushpit (with an extra support to prevent the barbie slipping!) starts immediatly - no waiting and does not extinguish in a bit of wind - gratin of, and baked potatoes, racks of lamb, fillets of beef, fresh fish, pork chops, bread, cakes u name it everything comes out great - and best of all: bacon (esp the bacon!) and eggs cooking (with the lid open) of a fine saturday/sunday morning with a bit of a breeze wafting the cooking odours down the harbours and watching the hatches open and the crews sniffing the air! Great food in the open air!

BBQ ....

I have always considered converting a 'Hibachi' style table top barbie to stern rail use ...... 10 quid barbie, few bits of timber and some clamps ..... you can even get them with lids now for not much more dosh .....

In fact the gas one I had not considered .... but most likely safer .....

But I can smell that bacon now .......
