That's what I/we use too.
When venturing offshore for some time (happens once or twice a year), I carry my Garmin inReach Messenger.
It's got a tracking website (I set reporting at 10 minutes interval) and it allows basic 2-way communication (txt messages).
I have found it relatively affordable and very reliable.
