Re: For goodness sake, why doesn\'t everyone cheer up.....

Okay sounds like you could do with a break after all the stress that life's dished out to you this week.

If you look elsewhere on the forum a certain forumite is offering to buy a pint for any fellow forumite who turns up at Madog over the weekend so make sure you approach him, say the secret password and claim your free pint.

I will pm you my moby number - give us a call when you slayed the last of the sand dragons and we'll look you out

Re: For goodness sake, why doesn\'t everyone cheer up.....

I am afraid I like it hot: 40 degrees will do, 46 we have had , that is pushing it a bit, after all I am British, tally ho what? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Re: For goodness sake, why doesn\'t everyone cheer up.....

Giss the Frigging Password then!
I'll be parched after slaying.

Der know, after a few noggins , and Bragging about Slaying.
One starts to start Slurring.
Then Shlurring shtarts, then it becomes shocially un hexsheptioablubble.
Then Snelson falls over.
I reckon He was origonally a "Nelson".
The S would have been added to the Family name, Due to a Forefather being a bit tiddly during a Christening a while back.
On the bright side, If said Forefather (actually, have We checked the Parentage or bloodline.?This could be something to discuss) was a mirror of the Fledgling today's Surname would be "Shnelson"!

Re: For goodness sake, why doesn\'t everyone cheer up.....

The secret password is.......(looks furtively over both shoulders to ensure nobody is listening).......... "Hiya Dave Buyusapint!"

As for the speculation over the Snelson / Nelson lineage, we have tried to get to the bottom of that particular conundrum on several occassions - even tried a spot of regression therapy once where we got him into a trance like state (with the help of a few bottles of Merlot) and uttered phrases like "England expects..." "Kiss me Hardy" etc etc etc

We found him hanging off the end of a pontoon later that evening trying to snog a Hardy Navigator /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

It seems that he has now given up the idea of selling CI so we wont be required to talk him out of it over a few bottles of vino collapso - I s'pose we could try talking him back into it again??? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Re: For goodness sake, why doesn\'t everyone cheer up.....

"shus ,ok got that"
whist we are talking quietley
shush, don't raise yer voice

whispering now.
snogging a Hardy?
don't mention it to scandinavians.
yer know what the vikins are like. if he was trying to make love to an engish navigator and they got wind that He was thinking of separating himself from CI
oooh sh&t could hit the sterndear!, sorry gear!

Anyway.
Nobody looking.

Re: For goodness sake, why doesn\'t everyone cheer up.....

Happy as Larry down here.
Today's trip, over one tide, was Kingsbridge - Polperro. Berthed on the inside of the W.Pier, drink in one of the pubs and had lunch.
Nipped back into Looe - a first for me. Looks rather better from on the water than when on land. Place was heaving with people enjoying a traditional British seaside holiday. Lots of red flesh on show in all shapes and sizes /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif The "Vis" berth was completely filled by a very large ketch.
With it being Neaps we could get all the way up to the bridge acroos the river even at Low Water.
Then zoomed back to Salcombe and home.

Only saw 2 large motor yachts and 2 med.sized motor cruisers whilst on passage, lots of yachts though. Couldn't understand where the fellow moboers were until on returning to Salcombe there was a flotilla of them anchored off the beaches.

Sunshine - cool stiff breeze though - the whole day. Sea a bit sloppy in places, especially the further offshore we went.

Tomorrow ? Planning on Exmouth, Torquay and Brixham /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
