I managed to view the pics, though I am not Facebook enabled ???

All changed a bit since I sailed up there a lot forty odd years ago. A few bags of cement on top of the sandbanks, and you would all have a lovely marina

Very useful, that reminds me to enter/exit the Deben around high water! We've not emerged from the Deben yet this year and our first trip out of the season is always heart in mouth.

Thanks Jim, great pix. That puts the channel more or less back to where it was in the sixties, with the spit off the beach a bit more pronounced. We weren't half glad when Uncle got one of those whirly flashy seafarer depth thingys for his Stella!
